When her mother died, my own mother, then sixty years old, suddenly began to draw and paint.
Not without a certain talent, although as a pure dilettante.
Having reached the age of ninety, her strength in decline, she has little by little, not without lamentation and expression of regret, postponed day by day until later, a later one that would never come, to get back to it.
At his death, there remained this material and these oils, between abandonment and drift, witness to the exhaustion of his strength, and which I photographed in their debacle.
