Diversions, recreation, dis-traction, this idea, after in May 2023 all of my work from 1968 to 2017 had taken its way to the National Library of France, made its way into me with the desire expressed by this gift (in addition to the delicate questions of succession) to turn a page, not only of creation but of existence, and to release the brakes (I who however have always sworn only by pure and straight photography without ornamentation or frills.. .). Apart from the more pragmatic reasons of conservation and bequest, one does not part innocently with the essence of one's life. And it seems inconceivable that this would not be, if not a rupture, in any case a turning point. That of the last few years... So let's make a diversion, in the sense that in war, or sometimes in love, it's a question of cunning.
