Jean-Claude Bélégou cinéma : TEMPS AMERS 2024
Feature film 75 minutes sound. Third feature film, with La Muse et Apolline, whose voice-over soundtrack, still read and performed by Chloé Lindau, takes up texts by the artist from the 1980s to 2000s.
This time the film intertwines landscapes, self-portraits and the generic role of the model, played by the same actress. The whole thus forms a triptych, although with different filmic approaches. Here all narration has definitively disappeared, except that of the text, which is purely factual.
And all that remains is the consequent of the seasons on the landscape filmed over the course of an entire year in the very place in which the artist works or his close surroundings.
Temps amers, owes its title to the sentence taken from Delacroix's diary quoted after the credits "I have made bitter reflections..." but also of the text of Jean-Claude Bélégou, but also is not without allusions to the current times, to the particularly deleterious atmosphere.
I have always conceived of the work of art as a poetic space dedicated to contemplation and meditation, and not as a matter of good ideas or good feelings or in charge of delivering messages.
For messages, there are carrier pigeons, and again the media and the web...
